What is the recommended dose of EPA, DHA, and GLA for children, ages 6 and 8?
I am particularly interested contained by this as it relates to ADHD.
Answer:
EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids and GLA is a omega-6 fatty acids. "Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids cannot be synthesized in the body, and must be obtain from the diet. The omega-6 fatty acids are distributed evenly in most tissues and slickly obtained through food sources commonly found surrounded by the American diet, but omega-3 fatty acids are concentrated in a few tissues including the brain."
Here is a site on the corrilation between the 2.
