What essential oil do I use & mix for a great Mosquito repellent?

Answer:
One of the best repellents is Lavender. Lavender is bitter flavored and has a pungent odor that mosquito's don't approaching. I've used it for years and I live in the mountains where on earth we have lots of them. You'll usually find them only just after sunup and again at dusk. You can either stay inside during those times, as they don't come out during the hottest subdivision of the day or the coolest, or Healing Garden puts out a lovely redolent "Lavender Therapy" spray that is inexpensive and keep the mosquito's away from your skin!

You can also use "Bounce" sheets that you use in your dryer. Most of my friends hold had great luck near them and then there's no "deet" to settlement with which can explanation adverse reactions within people that are sensitive to it! Best of luck.

If you want to trade name your own, I would use lavender essential oil and a correct quality podginess like solid Organic vegetable shortening or Coconut grease solids which you can get at any strength food store. The best brand name coconut shortening is made by Spectrum. Have fun!
Citronella is the most widely particular one for this. It is used in candles and adjectives sorts of other products to deter the mozzies.

Others include (alphabetically):
Catnip
Cedarwood
Clove
Eucalyptus
Lavender
Lemongrass
Peppermint
Rose Geranium
Rosemary

If you do make a mix of essential oil, try to keep around 50% citronella. It could become expensive making a mixture so you might of late want to use citronella on its own or with freshly one other oil. Catnip grease might be rare or expensive. I would probabably opt for eucalyptus or lavendar or a mix of these two near the citronella.

You shouldn't apply directly to the skin but you can mix in a underside cream or just wipe on clothes or place a few drops in an essential grease burner or on candles.

You can also take Vitamin B1 for its mosquito repelling properties and/or garlic grease capsules.

Best wishes.
I know that citrus and lemon and pallid scents are devout for repelling mosquitoes .. and it is a good give somebody the third degree because it is serious these days to seize bit by one
Eucalyptus oil works really in good health but you don't need an essential (pure) element oil. Ordinary eucalytus grease work well.
I use 50% citronella grease and 25% peppermint oil and 25% lemongrass grease. Has worked great for several years now
