My blood pressure skyrockets when I'm stressed, my dr said do yoga. Uh- any other suggestions? Yoga=no.?
I DID try the yoga, before you read out 'give it a kismet you may like it'. I don't close to it. I'm looking for a different type of stress relief.
I work near kids at the Y and many are abused/troubled/in trouble. I sometimes bring it home beside me, hard not to.
I'm also have some problems with my wife. I don't want to keel over or own a stroke. Thanks.
Answer:
Living in our environments and have fast-paced lives does bring about profusely of stress. I really feel for you. I own many difficulties within handling stress, myself. I've currently been taking supplements to lend a hand me cope... I alternate between an herb called St. John's Wort and another call Kava Kava... both known to support with anxiety and stress. But don't basically singly look to a pill to solve your problems. Take it as a daily supplement for your condition... then look into doing something that relaxes YOU. For some, yoga relaxes them. But if that isn't something you delight in... then it markedly will not do the trick. Breathing exercises at home is something to think more or less. it's very simple. You'll have need of to find a quiet, private place to practice. Here is an article that can tender you some insight. http://stress.about.com/od/breathingexer...
Use the time during your breathing exercises to parallel and focus on yourself. Aromatherapy can also aid in relaxation as you are doing your breathing exercises or a short time ago relaxing at home... try lavender, chamomile, eucalyptus, and peppermint oils.
If you're a mannish, I'll understand if you are a moment or two skeptical on breathing exercises and aromatherapy. So as another alternative, go to the gym. Work it out, sweat it out... it'll allow your body to take rid of all the built up tautness from the day. Believe it or not, but your muscles do hole profoundly of tension and stress within them. It doesn't matter what form of exercise you are doing... it can be boxing, jog, lifting weights... anything. It'll really help you have a feeling better. I've never heard any one enunciate that they feel alarming after a work out. 30 minutes a day after work, you will see the difference.
Most importantly, find someone to articulate to. Let out your frustrations. You may not want to use your wife since you mentioned that you are having problems at home. But it is extremely prominent to have the turbulent relief... if you save all your emotion and feelings bottled up, surrounded by the end they will affect your condition.
Good luck to you... if you have any question or need secondary information, please feel free to contact me.
Try Tai-Chi.Its severely relaxing.
Do something that relaxes you. If that means lifting weights, consequently go lift up weights. Just because your doctor says do Yoga doens't stingy that's going to help. You have need of to find something you like to do that relaxes you and pursue that. Your best bet is to pursue a hobby or an hum you like doing and travel for it.
the presciption Lisinopril and exercise works for me.
get clinical rub therapy twice a month. I suggest this because i am a press therapist. ask dr. first
Why don't you try zen buddhism meditation ? No, I'm not yank your chain. I also own a stressful job and stuff approaching high blood pressure is the later thing I entail when I have to save my stamina. I find personally, that when I surface pretty bad I of late go somewhere away from citizens, even if it is just for 5 minutes, it make a lot of difference. There's nought strange about it or esoteric. I've be doing it for years and no, I don't feel I own to travel to some Japanese monastery to seek some guru. The 'guru' is inside you.
Good luck and I hope you find some of the solutions for yourself, that you are giving to the kids that you work beside.
There are a few things you could try:
There is a breathing method that is clinically proven to exhaust stress and lower blood pressure when practiced regularly. Sit in a soundless place (or if you are stressed at work, find a closet or do this on a toilet), and breath in slowly through your feeler and then breathe out nose/mouth for twice as long as the time you took to breathe surrounded by. So, breathe in for 5 counts and exhale for 10 counts. If you find lightheaded, try a lower count.
Tai Chi: it's an exercise that utilizes specific movements, designed in China, to promote meditation and self defense. It's usually surrounded by a series of several types of movements (each with different names). You of late need a melodious open space approaching your living room or backyard. It's slow and gentle flowing movements. You should travel to a Tai Chi master and learn at lowest possible 6 you can do everyday for about 10 minutes. That's adjectives it should take.
There is also Qi Gong: It's similar to Tai Chi but next to different styles of movement. It also combines movement and breathing and energy into this wonderful form of relaxation and meditation. It's proven to drain stress and the negative things that come next to it.
Regular massage also help.
Also, the reason you are bringing the "stuff" home beside you is because you are not blocking their energy from absorbing into yours. When you are have a particulary rough day, consider you are "The Boy in the Bubble" and you are protected by everything around you. Their "stuff" is theirs - you own your own "stuff" to worry roughly speaking. Once you can learn how to master this preventative technique consequently your problems could very ably start disappearing.
Try making and drinking teas Kava-Kava will help you relax and relieve you of stress and for your heart; Hawthorn berries and Spirulina. You can find these teas at a strength food store or store that carries innate and holistic herbs - even GNC have a few.
Well, on a regular basis, you can give somebody a lift calcium and magnesium tablets, vitamin C, and coenzyme Q10 along with relaxation technique. And, of course, put in the picture your wife to get past its sell-by date your back. ~N
No one treatment works for everone, so find the methods that suit you best. My suggestion is to: Seek out sustain from a psychologist or psychiatrist to begin psychotherapy. This can be an effectual way to organize your stress. Gear your therapy toward research to understand the style you react to stress and the factor underlying it. Explore new coping technique to combat these factors.

Actually, I use aromatherapy and have found it particularly successful. For stress, I use a lavender oil and I any just filch a good gaping breath of the oil and slow my breathing, or I will even put it on my temple. Lavender has an instant soothing effect, and it also smells great for those around you. I make out that when I open my lavender, associates around me seem to restful down. Yoga will help but PRAYER is better. The Islamic form of prayer is awesome when done correctly. Try it. Don't consent to bias stop you from doing what is good for you.
You should hurry or do some type of rigorous exercise. My cousin has glorious blood pressure and one time she was idea sick (like her blood pressure was really high). She go to the gym immediately and did 3 miles on the treadmill. The subsequent day her doctor told her that she save her life by going to the gym right away instead of the emergency room (where she probably would've sit still waiting hours to be seen). Exercise is crucial to lowering high blood pressure.
Tai Chi is a nuptial arts form which is more used for exercise than as a way of defending oneself. The training can shift into the military arts form when one studies "push hands".
Chi Kung is another breathing techique which is affiliated with Tai Chi... it is using your breath contained by a focused manner to facilitate remedial. Search on line for Chi Kung and see what you find out.

It is outstandingly interesting how societies other than the western world own all these systems which if truth be told bring about correction in our stress level. Seems that the western world would rather us keel over next to a stroke or whatever than help out us de-stress.
Keep on seeking, you will find your way to the answer which suits you.
