I tried it but found that 1) I'm not competent to be hypnotized, & 2) my issues were too intense for the hypnotherapist to seize inside me. My walls are too think. It be ineffective, & expensive.
Hypnotherapy, is a subject by itself, and should be taken very seriously. Using hypnosis as a channel to treat people works best within psychosomatic disorders and phobias which cannot be treated by any other therapy. Hypnosis is a method of treatment. It should not be view as a sham or hocus pocus. I am a hypnotherapist myself and i know how a soul feels after the sessions are over. It is unworkable to hypnotize a person if he/she is not mentally prepared to bring hypnotized. There are a lot of ailments where on earth hypnosis can help. Check near your therapist and find out.
There are closely of myths about hypnosis and these are specifically not true. No hypnotist can put you under his control if you do not want to. You can clearly come out of hypnosis if you feel something is wrong and your mind does not adopt what the hypnotist does. So you can safely turn for treatment using hypnosis.
Remember Hypnosis Cures.
