Is this medicince okay to embezzle?
Im taking Amoxicillin (antibiotic) for my cold and im taking cough medicine beside Acetametophen in it. Can I also nick some Ibuprofen? I cant get rid of this cold and my doctor is closed til monday! Thanks!!
Answer:
If its a moment ago an ordinary adjectives cold, amoxicillin will not take the cold away. Antibiotics will work on persuaded bacterial or viral infections, the common cold is neither. Just plenty of fluids, rest, and aspirin, oh and alittle self-control.
yes, you can also take ibuprofen, but try to stagger the APAP and ibuprofen by a few hours (ie pinch apap, then 2-3 hours next take ibuprofen, later 2-3 hours later pinch the apap again, so on) but make sure you're not taking any of them more often than every 4-6 hours as recommended!
Why do you want to filch ibuprofen? Are you having torment that the acetaminophen isn't taking care of? You could rob both ibuprofen and acetaminophen as long as you only run one OR the other at least 4 hours apart, but not both together.
Also, only a heads up, antibiotics can sometimes raison d`¨ētre diarrhea and one way to abet prevent that is to chomp through yogurt with live, helpful cultures in it (most yogurts own this).
Yes, that is correct, antibiotics won't go and get rid of a cold. A cold is a virus and antibiotics only work to clear up infections. You can purloin Tylenol every 4 hours and the ibuprofen every 8. So you can intertwine them. Hope this helps.
Acetominophen and Ibuprofen are both NSAIDs. You should NOT transport them together unless a doctor tells you that can. Mixing them could exact stomach bleeding or other serious problems. It should say so right on the sign of the medicine bottle. If you can't attain in touch near your doctor, try calling a pharmacy and ask them what is safe to nick with the medicine you are already taking. They should be able to recommend you something.
BTW, if you truly own a cold then your antibiotics are not going to oblige and your doctor should not have prescribed them for you. Colds are cause by viruses and antibiotics are just effective against bacterial infections. The single thing that will facilitate you get over a cold is rest and plenty of fluids.
Yes.If you are otherwise a on form person next to no major illnesses.I own done this many times.Get Better.
Venin_no is incorrect.
Acetaminophen is NOT an NSAID. The ibuprofen is, though. As the pharmacy student & the pharmacist both said, you can filch them, but stagger them.
None of these 3 meds is good for a cold, though.
Just FYI...
I don't know why you're taking any of these, antibiotics are not for virus. And how much pain are you contained by? If you have a frenzy an aspirin would be in demand. But it's a cold after all. Bed rest, chicken soup, and plenty of liquid. It will be gone when it's done with you.
