Iodine within drinking river.. is this safe and sound??
Years ago my family camp alot.. we used iodine to purify the water. is this a past the worst way to purify dampen and is it safe to drink??

For chemical disinfection to be impressive, the water must be filter and settled first.Chlorine and iodine are the two chemicals commonly used to treat water.
They are somewhat significant in protecting against exposure toGiardia, but may not be impressive in controlling more resistant organisms close to Cryptosporidium.
Chlorine is generally more important than iodine in controlling Giardia, and both disinfectants work much better contained by warm marine.
It would depend on the mixture amount and I would not recommend this for long term.
