Has anyone used a inborn remedy to control their asthma?

I am an adult, near asthma. My triggers are exercise, laughing, colds, allergies. I use my inhaler everyday, which is not good.
I own no insurance to pay for drugs, but I am a extremity of Rx assistance programs.
I am looking for a natural route of controlling this asthma. I have used homeopathic, but did not stick beside it long enough. I give up too easily , I guess.
