I've never tried that one but using a dab of castor grease always works for me within the ear.
I wouldn't put any solids into your ear. (is perles like powder or granule?)
The best thing if you want to engender your own would be to infuse fresh garlic into olive oil (crush garlic into a short time olive oil, fry on low for a few minutes, cool, strain out the chunks and put a couple of drops in your ear).

I don't know but you can buy sweet grease which is specially packaged olive grease and that works for ears.
