Answer: chantix works by stopping the brain from receiving the signals of pleasure from the tobacco...and so, after you appropriate it for a week, you start stopping. my husband was a smoker for 30 years, and he quit using this method 7 months ago. he still occasionally on a bleak day say he wishes he could have a cigarette...but he doesn't. It just works if you want it to. considering all the difficulty you are in from mouth cancer, it would definitely be worth a shot!
