Is it out of danger to pinch melatonin and serotonin supplements together?
Im having problems near my sleepng patterns..i stir up in middle of hours of darkness and eat( late hours of darkness eating syndrome) so i be thinking that seratonin will suppress my appetiate and melatonin would put me to sleep ,also serotonin increases melatonin levels so is it ok to pinch these two supplement together or would that have an adverse effect since serotnin is converted into melatonin?
Answer: Well, there's a couple problems near that idea. After my initial shock of reading the topic, I did a turn out on Yahoo and I see why you're asking... there's a Serotonin pill that's being market as an appetite suppressant.
Personally, I think the product is a horrible theory since Serotonin levels regulate not solitary your sleep/wake cycles, but your mood among other things... not to mention that when you off-set one hormone in any significant amount, your body will push some of the other hormones sour in instruct to attempt to re-balance your system. Needless to say, that could motivation all sorts of havoc for oodles people.
If you pinch a Serotonin product AND a Melatonin, one of a few things will happen.
1) You'll slip away out the whole dark and might have trouble wake up early the subsequent morning.
2) You'll have too much Serotonin within your system and you'll be wide awake adjectives night.
3) Either one of those, accompany by restlessness and/or moodiness (or worse) if you take those on a regular cause.
4) Or everything will work out perfectly as you are hoping.
If you are looking for the effect you mention, you would probably be better sour taking a Melatonin and Hoodia Gordonii or some other herbal-based appetite suppressant
no i would try it but dont do it
serotonin is an anti depressant
hoodia - don't bother it doesn't work!
If your having trouble sleeping, try combing melatonin (1-2 mg) beside 25 mg of vitamin B-6 and 250 mg magnesium. Works for me like a charm.
