Is sterilizing ACUPUNCTURE needles near alcohol plenty?
I am the only one the needles are anyone used on. Is just soaking them contained by alcohol enough to prevent infection? Thanks.
NO i do not use disposable needles.
Answer: no. it is not ample. why? it insufficient to prevent infection. That is why hospitals do not use this disinfection method.
why don't you use disposables?. All acupuncure MDs I know use only disposables. Something wrong near them ?
VALKYRIE: I am sorry, but, NO, rubbing alcohol people use is INADEQUATE.
EDIT: the simplest opening ? go to your friendly liquor store and buy 151 proof vodka (192 proof alcohol is difficult to get). Use this for sterilizing needles, nought under 10 minutes will do. do it right until that time your session. Please use prep wipes (can be bought contained by a drug store), used to wipe the acupuncture site and swab the site THREE times.
That should be sufficient. ONLY SURE opening are disposables.
I'd say no... they obligation to burn Disposables are the ONLY sure fire way to prevent infection.
Alcohol, autoclaves, iodine, ect,. germs are finding ways around those cleaning methods.
