What's the best herbal remedies book?
I'm trying to get a honest book for a friend. She wants to know adjectives the stuff from what kind of herb for tea is angelic to what essential oil is best to destress. What's an affordable and informative book that's slickly out there?

I hae quite the library of the sort...love every piece...but my tried and trues are 4 that I cross ref from:
* A 2-book set by Mrs. M. Grieve call "A Modern Herbal"--excellent for the beginner seeking info on the adjectives around folklore, medicinal, culinary, & even cultivation of the plant world.
*A must have for any herbalist..."Back to Eden" by Jethro Kloss...big Daddy of the herb world...lots of great hoary info--the whys & what fors of remedies.
*A good ref for Western/Eastern medicinals...Michael Tierra's "The Way of Herbs".
Another PS for the person who wishes to cover all the basis..."Earthway" by Mary Summer Rain...this is the future of drug through the eyes of a great Native American, No-Eyes...you'll get the irony when you grasp to know the woman...very informative roughly common sense stuff, star stuff, and color stuff, as she would put it, as all right as the dark sides of the plant kingdom that most books don't explain well ample.
