Over the counter or by prescription? If by prescription, then your Doctor could afford you a sleep medication such as ambien. Or something in the benzodiazepine group close to ativan or valium.
If you want something over the counter, try unisom, I have found it to work the best. It's so much better than benadryl (the leading other antihistamine used for sleep). And unisom won't leave you near a drug hangover the next morning.
Over the counter- Nytol. Cheap, easy to capture, works.
Try Melatonin--travellers use it to fight squirt lag--and many family use it for sleep. It is sold over-the-counter at health food, department, and grocery stores as all right as at pharmacies.

I agree that drinking herbal tea similar to green or peppermint tea can help relax you formerly going asleep. My advice is stay away from any medication as they can lead to worse problems. Also try a cup of hot milk with 2 spoons of honey surrounded by it before going to bed. I know it sounds a bit stupid, but its relaxing and I swear by it!!!
