my gramma says that the slightly narcotic cayenne pepper or other hot to extremely hot pepper are good conductors for dream visualization, clarity, lucid dreaming technique, and for remembering the dreams in detail. Also, it is other okay to set an alarm (not loud and not and actual alarm or buzzing or beeping nouns, etc) for three to four hours after bedtime to aid in the REM sleep stages. Waterfalls, birds, storms, and even soft music are better so as to not disturb the sleep cycle within a traumatic and possibly volitile way. sometimes a full bladder at bedtime can bring dreaming to a clearer and more frequent stirring, as well.
