I don't know of an over the counter cream or medication. I
deduce you need to cut the ingrown portion of the staple out, yes, it does hurt. Then you need to cut your fastener straight across and not on a curve like your fingernails. Keep the pin clean, dry, and stop wearing any shoe that cause pressure.
