What are some natural ways to avoid heartburn during pregnancy? Are here certain foods I can drink? Certain foods I can avoid? I know to eat Tums/Rolaids, but I would similar to some other suggestions to minimize and avoid heartburn. Thanks!

Answer:    oranges and lemons are very alkaline, and not acerbic producing, avoid or eat hugely little red meats, trim margarine from all meat.there are lots of acerbic verses alkaline food charts on dash, avoid sugary things such as baked treats.Sometimes regardless of how natural and ably you eat you may still obtain heartburn...good luck
Eat frequent, small meal. Don't eat a moment ago before lying down.

Try to avoid foods that are strongly bitter (like oranges) or spicy. Don't use caffeine (from coffee, tea, cola or energy drinks).

Consider lying beside the top part of your body propped up for a while on pillows- so that gravity works to help keep hold of your stomach acid surrounded by your stomach.
Try milk...it should help :) Take calcium, this is the dumb but it make sense to me on why it works. the body needs calcium for lots of stuff approaching building bones and little people, opposite acid level in the blood and aiding within stomach digestion. so if the body dosen't have plenty for the important things it take it first from the stomach hence indigestion and heart burn.
When i was pregnant when i stopped taking the calcium pills i would capture heartburn when i took them i didn't.

But i also find indigestion means a deficiency in digestive enzymes and fruit and veg are categorically the best for that.
If you don't want to take pills you can also procure it from food like almonds, brocolli and dairy.
Try a nice garden salad at the start of every breakfast time.

And try talking to a midwife for some added nat remedies.
it wont generate any difference what you eat i have heartburn a lot when i be carrying my son many years ago, and if i remember rightly i be not eating much of any point first few months i was vomiting most of the dayand i still have heart burn then i could solitary eat at darkness. and my whole pregnancy i could not chomp through eggs or tomatoe which i love just to look at them made me ailing An apple a day keep the doctor away.
Have an apple every day. Eating an apple will curtail the severity of the symptoms.Apple rapidly absorb the excess acid and prevents heartburns.
Peppermint Tea.

I used to drink this when I have terrible heartburn near my eldest.

You need to avoid spicy foods and avoid overfilling your stomach. Take smaller meal more frequently if you can. Avoid processed rubbish too...no junk.

hope you discern better soon.
hello

I advise against pippermint tea, because it relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter (a muscle which keep the stomach contents from spelling up to the esophagus). though it is wonderful for colics or gases.

within the Arab world we have a character of a dairy drink which is called Laban or roab. it is newly like plain yogurt but surrounded by a liquid form, it worked miracles near my wife during her pregnancy. I think plain yogurt will do the work...

best of luck.
