Today im starting my birth control and im wondering if my allergy prescription will lessen the affect of the pill?

my allergy medicine is amoxacillin.

Answer:
Amoxacillin is not an allergy drug it is an antibiotic, and it can reduce the usefulness of the pill.
For the very first month of using the pill you should verbs to use another form of birth control, and when you use antibiotics until you start the next cycle of pills
Regular allergy medication won't affect it but amoxacillin is an antibotic and that WILL AFFECT IT. Please be extra safe. Call you doctor because even after you stop taking it-It might transport some extra time to start working 100% again for you.
