Do you know of anything except drug that help beside diabetes?
My co-worker cannot keep her blood sugar down. No medication is helping. She can move about 12 hours without drinking and her blood sugar would still be 290. Any ideas??
Answer:
I am a diabetic. Walking is a must! I control my sugars near insulin, however, I have notice a significant reduction contained by the need for insulin by following the Macrobiotic Diet. My average fast sugar is between 70 and 90, 2 hours after lunch it averages between 110 and 125 and dinner it averages around 136 - 150. To do this, your co-worker would need to locate an experienced Macrobiotic Counselor, but you can contact the Kushi Institute, (you can find it online) and they can direct you to a counselor surrounded by your area. It's for a time expensive, takes like mad of discipline, but it works really well! I go from using 75 units of long acting insulin (NPH) to 25, and I filch 5 units of insulin at supper (breakfast and lunch) and 15 at night. I lost 56 pounds and I be aware of lots better. I noticed seriously of changes within my physical body as a result of following the diet. It's based on intact grains and life foods. Good luck with this. There are some books below that will give a hand with your force out. Chromium picolinate can help her to metabolize sugar better, but NOTHING beat walking and staying away from ALL PROCESSED FOODS! If her sugars don't reduce soon, she can expect to own some liver, pancreas and eye problems. Over a period of time, the body begin to break down and the kidneys become overworked at which time they will quit. I know this isn't a lovely picture, but someone needs to paint it for her and permit her know how urgent it really is that she get some instantaneous help.
You can give a hand your co-worker by taking a walk next to her at lunch time. Exercise is key surrounded by handling and managing diabetes.
Cut down on suguary foods. Also try to eat more wheat foods instead of flour.
She requests some exercise. Take a walk, walk to a mall and do some skylight shopping... take a bikeride... basically do something. It has to be a vivacity adjustment not just a food adjustment. Cutting down on sugar as you would expect, french fries are a nasty no-no. Be a genuine friend to her and go walking near her, sometimes people requirement a boost even when they know what's best for them.
This sounds like something more serious than can be fixed near "ideas" from this forum. Generally speaking, type II diabetes happens unhurriedly and is mostly caused by poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle. But this sounds close to your friend's pancreas is not producting any insulin at all. Could be bacterial infection. Could be lots of things. She wishes to see a health support practitioner for thorough testing.
For quotation, herbs that stimulate the pancreas are Barberry, Goat's Rue, Mountain Grape, Karela and Fringe Tree yelp. All bitters have a toning effect on the pancreas. Barberry can assist with Pancreatitis.
not intake is not doing her any good at adjectives!! she has get to eat regularly, starting beside breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner an evening snack, all at matching time (approx.) each hours of daylight, her meds. should be taken at the same time respectively day as capably. but in adjectives seriousness, she should be talking to her doctor and not taking ANY guidance from anyone here, myself included. i'm just proverb how it works in my house, try to receive her to a doctor again, good luck to you both, hope she get help soon.
She desires to go to condition food store & buy a mineral called "Chromium Picolinate". this will assist lower her BG's.
Also, have her buy a Green supplement call "Spirulina". This will help her body stabilize her BG, as okay.
Exercise is very major. A 30 min brisk walk most days of the week will do. Don't put away much red meat or more than 4 - 6 eggs a week. Eating vegetarian is most just the thing, but is hard to do.
Alcohol is really unpromising for diabetics.
She shouldn't eat much sugar or white flour. This includes processed foods. She should put away brown, not white, rice. Wheat, not white, bread.
If she does these things, her blood sugar will go down.
