Answer:    Short answer: No.

A cold will manifest itself with a cough and sore throat around 2 - 5 days after you be infected. It is very feasible that you have be walking around whilst infected for several days with no conception it had happen.

Once symptoms show, the cold will last for around one week but may resourcefully last longer.

Remember that coughing, sneezing and broad congestion are NOT parts of the disease. They are your body fighting the disease.

Things you can do to assistance your situation are limited. There is NO cure for the adjectives cold. The best you can do is keep hydrated and avoid exertion.

DON'T drink alcohol. Although the whisky may own worked to kill the infection when it first enter your throat, it won't help in a minute. It will probably even make you worse as it will dehydrate you and chip away at your defenses. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will also dehydrate you and cause a similar effect.

Drink lots of hose, gargle with heat up salt hose down, use cough drops / throat spray / nasal spray if you want but it will only sort you feel a bit better, it won't cure you contained by any way. Paraceptamol will also relieve to lessen the pain. Ibuprofen will also lessen the distress and may reduce any swelling.

If you develop a severe cough, your GP may prescribe you a low dosage of codeine as a cough suppressant but the efficacy of this is disputed by doctors.

No antibiotics or antiviral drug will ever work against a cold. Don't ask your doctor for these. Unless you're contained by an at risk group or the cold persists for more than a week or so it's probably not worth going to your doctor at adjectives as they'll only explain to you the things I just said.

Vitamin C, Zinc and chicken soup are three more commonly believed 'cures' for the adjectives cold but as yet at hand is no hard evidence for any of them.
There is no cure for the adjectives cold
There are medicines you can purloin to alleviate the symptoms but a cold has to run its course. Vitamin C...and plenty of it...that should serve!
there is no route to get rid of a cold in a day... rest, high temperature, lots of fluid 'water' orange liquid for the vitamin c and maybe some paracetamol tab to help next to the yuk feeling.

lately rest if you can
Hot water beside Honey and Lemon!! and a little ginger if you own some!

Get well soon!
Pray to the Lord Jesus - the Son of God.

If this fail, pray to God - for with God, adjectives things are possible.
the best way to achieve rid of a cold is sweat it out but you will have to do alot of sweating for it to work contained by 24 hours... take some cold talbets next to you They say a cold have to run it's course but i believe you can not only alleviate symptoms but shorten all along infection time. Plenty of sleep, vitamin c and preferably with acerola added. Drink tisanes of thyme, a great disinfectant for respiratory problems, beside honey and fresh lemon added. dietwise, steer away from anything sugary, apart from honey in the tisane, as a cold is feed on sugar, drink plenty of fluids, eat lots of food and hang on to away from too much greasy foods, especially meat. You can try taking echinacea with propolis also. Do some inhalations beside a homeopathic product, they will help beside the snuffles. I once had a blinder of a cold, so I boiled up some milk beside several cloves of garlic in it, fished out the garlic and drank the milk still hot. The subsequent morning my cold had practically vanished. The problem be, I almost gassed every other bough of the family, especially one of my sisters as I be sharing her bedroom.
Nothing cures it, I have have it since Saturday, my eyes are streaming, my nose running and sniffing adjectives day and I am at work. The Vics Inhaler is helping for a moment. A clove of garlic, loads of water and vit c. Have a duvet daytime! You just formulate a list and return with someone else to pack for you!
Chicken soup (freshly made) contains natural antibiotics which can backing the body to heal from infection (viral or bacterial), but I'm afraid that you'll a moment ago have to hang about until your body produces the white cells to argument the infection.

You can help the symptoms beside the use of regular paracetamol and a decongestant from the chemists.
