Answer:    Hmm...that's suprising. Normally I agree with the populace above me, but they're a bit off here.

First sour, (I assume you know this) hydrogen peroxide at a high concentration (food grade=35%) should never be swallowed (and if touched will burn your skin and sting for in the order of 20 mins).
At a strong concentration, it is "caustic" and awful etc.
However, at a low concentration it is not; quite the contrary it have amazing effects. I've sucessfully used it for curing various things including food poisoning and candida.

Here's my brief attempt to detail everything I know on the subject (I hold some peroxide I do this with on a regular basis).
1) Distilled hose is not necessarily ideal, filter is good but distilled specifically can result in problems.
2) I don't know what the exact amount you would want in a gallon mixture would be, but you probably would not want to gross that much at a time (ideally you should make the mixure you drink inside an hour, hence gallon is impractical).
3) The reason for need to dilute food grade peroxide (instead of using more dilluted store bought varieties) comes from the latter have stabilizing chemicals added in (which are toxic regardless of the concentration to ingest).
4) 35% peroxide somewhat avoids the decomposition problem (hence not need stabilizers), but it is still an issue, so it's best to store it in the freezer. Peroxide have a low freezing point, so it won't turn solid, but the cold is sufficient to keep the break down recoil from occuring (which is important).
5) There's a lot of divided opinion in the oxygen treatment movment over what the best way is to gain peroxide in the bloodstream. Some ancestors support intravenous injections, others support ingesting. There are a lot of pros and cons for respectively, and at the end of the daylight there lately isn't the research to prove either side.
However, one of the biggest concerns next to eating peroxide, is that when it's contained by the stomach, the broken down foods can cause H2O2 to brake into hydroxl (OH-) radical which are bad for you (and bring problems like stomach cancer). It's not clear if this is a concrete risk, but everyone advocates drinking peroxide away from meal so the substances which allow OH- generation to go off won't be present in the stomach (so drink it 1-2 hours away from meals).

Generally though, this is what relations have found works;

Why would you want to drink hydrogen peroxide? I know someone who uses it to wash fresh produce and I don't know what dilution she uses.

Another party I know uses it to "disinfect" the raw meat she feed her cats and dog.
