i think it sorta depends on which drug.
In the US I believe you enjoy to be 18 to buy certain drugs surrounded by the store like cough syrups next to certain ingredinets. I don't know going on for diet drugs though. I suspect it would probably be illegal lower than age 18. It's no big deal though. Just purloin it to the cashier. If ID is required, they'll basically ask for it. If you are not old plenty, just enunciate you didn't know. No biggie!! You don't go to put in prison for taking it to the register!
So far as I know there is no federal canon prohibiting the sale of diet drugs to minors. There may, however, be state law that prohibit it.
