I read on a Paul McKenna hypnotism DVD that it shouldn't be used by anyone near clinical depression. Why?

Answer:
The problem is that people next to clinical depression can use the hypnosis dvd and will feel great afterwards. However, since the psychoanalysis didn't necessarily deal next to the cause of depression, likelihood are that the persons mood will "crash" and they will become even more depressed.

In some cases this may pilfer someone from clinical depression to where they start have and/or acting on suicidal thoughts. Not a good article at all.

In short nearby is a high probability that the entity will end up one more depressed..

Clinical depression should firstly be treated with allopathic drug, and if you want a complementary approach, seek out a economically trained hypnotherapist. Dr Michael Yapko specialises in the use of hypnosis near depression. He is probably the world authority on it: http://www.yapko.com/

Also, as a side note, hypnosis should not be used by anyone near any mental illness, eg: schizophrenia, bipolar, etc.

David

I am a professional HypnoAnalyst.
Mr McKenna bless him, means all right.
It's just a disclaimer, that's adjectives.
Methods used in hypnosis tend to offer your mind a lift, and would particularly be of benefit to anyone in involve of that.
Feeling good/better no matter for how short a time, can just be good for you... right?
I can give attention to of a very right reason. Depression may be the result of traumatic events that the party experienced. In order to cope the soul has suppressed these memories and may not enjoy any awareness of what has happen to them. Accidentally awakening those memories could result in cause health problems for the individual. I am somewhat a subject of such an occurrence. I wrote something while person physically very below par. People have enquire about what I wrote and awakened the memories of these impossible but true events that happen. I find it very difficult to emotionally and psychologically cope next to these memories because they include bizarre aspects to a traumatic physical illness as ably as psychic experiences and even some spiritual. I did not remember most of these things until relations started enquiring and know now that I experienced frequent, many things. The solely way I can cope is to forget them again, which I am sure I will when society stop asking me about them. Some experiences are boomingly profound, can not be rationalised away.
