The room temperature dampen is a myth. Your body is an amazing machine, and can pedal cold water. If you're hot, next drink cold water. Room temp river isn't going to hurt you, but neither is cold water. Water is so essential, just drink plenty BEFORE you do exercises not of late during or after. I have hear that cold water make you body work harder to process it and bring it to body temp.
i heard room temp is better for the digestion...one-sidedly i prefer room temp mainly bc im other cold.

cold sea is more refreshing. warm hose is better for people beside sensitive teeth, but their is no difference.
If very thirsty, cold hose down is better. It is absorbed into the system replenishing fluids faster. Not icy cold, but close at in the region of 40 degrees.
as far as vigour reasons, any is fine. drinking ice wet or cold water from the fridge will burn a few more calories because your body heat up the cold water to 98.6 degree, when it uses its heat to melt the water it burns more calories to generate more fry... just dont over do it and end in yourself to go into hypothermia.
It depends. If you are a short time ago thirsty, it should not matter. If you are chilled, drinking heat water (warmer than body temp) will back to warm you. If you are overheated, cool hose down will help cool you, but too cold and it could afford you stomach cramps.
