Rotavirus within Adults?
We (The Grandparents) believe we have Rotavirus, as my grandchildren have it, now we are poorly with alike symtoms. Lots of diarrhea, takes everything out of you! Out of commission for days. Does anyone know of what to do to gain us better? Will Olive Leaf work? We have gone down to using article, plastic and everything throw away to avoid touching and used lots of disinfectant.
Answer:
Yes, we adults usually get rotavirus from our kids and grandkids as it is one of the leaders within infant death and hospital stays due to its dehydration factor from vomiting and diarrhea. Adults usually acquire a milder form of it and as long as you use good appendage washing after voiding and shifting diapers, then the risk of it drops. The lone things that adults can do, is pretty much the same item as kids and that is to rest the stomache and bowels and keep hold of hydrated. Your stomache and intestines are severely irritated right now and probably can't manipulate anything new person injested into your system. I wish I could report to you something different, but I have gone through this 3 times next to my son and he is only 2 1/2 (gotta love grocery pushcart handles!) You don't involve to use paper/plastic dishes or utensils. Once you wash your dishes the virus is kill. I wish you adjectives well! Good luck and sorry I couldn't describe you anything else that's nicer! Go here, it is the official center for disease control's certainty sheet on it http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/revb/gast...
I didn't know kids get he rota virus, but you only have to dally for it to get out of your system. My dr prescribes the b.r.a.t diet whenever I draw from it: banana, rice, applesauce, and toast
