Doctors - Socially official drug dealer?

I realise that the College's of Medicine around the world attempt to keep a knob on the dispensing of perscription drugs however.

On the whole those are becoming less lenient with their bodies, and require instant nouns. This is where the Pharmaceutical industry is rake in the dosh.

Sales reps from drug companies approach doctors clinics / surgeries and present a sales pitch, disappearing samples of the product for the doctors to 'try out' on their patients.

Furthermore, within many places, doctors will receive a sort of 'commission' for every perscription they write.

The removal of a prescription drug from a person's body most regularly produces withdrawl symptoms. Does this not encourage chemical reliance?

My grill remains - are modern doctors socially accepted drug dealer?

Answer:
They've been socially standard drug dealers from the time they started peddle drugs for pharmaceutical companies around the world period. adjectives drug dealers bring back a commission legal or not. I'm a recovering abuser of drugs and MANY doctors r the permitted drug dealer of choice for several addicts who r addicted to prescribed medication. What's worse some of these trusted medical professionals know fully what they r doing wrong and enjoy no scruples except for the love of the next dollar of late like the unendorsed dealer's love for quick dirty dosh. It's too bad they rn't monitored better by the medical society to weed out the rotten apples who generate it bad for the worthy ones.
What a bizarre question!! With "socially agreeable drug dealers", you mean medical professionals qualified to assess want and prescribe medication where required??! In that baggage what is "prison" for example? "Socially acceptable hostage taking".

Yes the pharmaceutical industry is a competetive business!! As such it will involve elements of profit making, marketing of products etc. GPs don't own the time to go out nearby and research what up-to-date medications hold come out on the market to prescribe to their patients which may enjoy fewer side effects than the elder medication they have prescribed until that time. They therefore rely on sale reps to keep them up to speed next to recent developments. Sales reps are often exceedingly educated and clued-up about their products. I work surrounded by the substance misuse field. For heaps years all that could be offered to patients to stabilise an opiate dependence be methadone. Until Subutex came out. We be grateful for our reps visit who give a talk to the troop, left leaflets and booklets for patients, and very soon many empire who did not get on too capably on methadone have become drug-free due to Subutex. Why is that "socially proper drug dealing"?

I think you also overestimate what practices go and get out of all this. Most we ever attain are some free notepads, some biros, maybe some free mugs.!!

If within were cases be doctors were prescribing inferior medication because they acquire a bonus for themselves that would be different, but I believe that nearby are sufficuent controls in place to avoid that.
Although I tend to agree next to you on your point about pharmaceutical companies flogging their product, I would not agree roughly the drug dealer bit. It's a bit overboard.
Absolutely, I with the sole purpose wish more general public were aware of the problem. I asked my doc for information on a low dose birth control choice and instead he gave me a 3 month supply within samples and another 9 months worth contained by prescription. never told me one thing something like the chemicals and what they might do long term. When I asked give or take a few side effects, I was told within were none. For the history, he is no longer my doc.
Why do you think Dr's prescribe so much? Because the public demands a pill for everything! If the doctor doesn't dispense them the scrip they want, they head to another doctor. It's call supply and demand - short the demand, the supply would dry up. So palpably my point is that PATIENTS need to stop seeking the flowing (but not necessarily for our body) route and/or (for the alternative minded folks) demand our doctors find informed and help us sort through the myriad of innate rememdies available to us. Reminds me of the old prank how we progressed from early times of here chomp through this plant through pills, surgery, etc. back to here guzzle this plant lol.
Not socially accepted by me.
Some Doctors enjoy made them self's that way. The drug reps. are massively needed. They come into the pharmacy often and save us up to date on new drugs and things to preserve in mind for counseling the lenient so that you know how to benefit the most from you medication. The samples that they walk off at your Dr. office serve allot of the patients out there that hold no insurance. They day will come when you may involve some samples and will you turn them down? Take a look at the insurance companies consequently too. The Dr. writes a prescription that he/she feels will be the best for the merciful. Their insurance company may deny that drug because they have contracts beside the drug company's to. It is more than just the Doctors and empire can say no when the Dr. want to tender them a medication they have a voice to.
