does anyone use or know of any safe natural non-prescription sleep aids?

Valerian root and/or Melatonin
Obviously a highly controversial topic, but marijuana does this superbly. Unfortunately it is illegal, so it may not be of interest for that pretext.

melatonin or 5-htp can be paying special attention.
There are also herbal mixtures with valerian, commitment flower, kava kava and california poppy are usually good.

Try a supplement call Melatonin. It can help alot. You appropriate one tablet at bedtime and it should help you crash asleep. I have used it sour and on for years, it works and it's safe. Look surrounded by the vitamin aisle at any store that sells that sort of point.

Melatonin merely before bed...your body produces melatonin but as one ages, the body's production drops rotten.
Also, tryptophan the ingredient in turkey that make everyone sleepy. You can get tryptophan within capsule form contained by health food stores.
Warm milk, PM yoga and meditation back bed.
kava kava is a natural comforting herb and it works quicker than melatonin
Lavender aromatherapy. It goes through the lungs and into the bloodstream so the body absorb it faster than it being digested. Don't budge to the Body Shop to buy it though. The energy level of their oils are anodyne. Efficacy is not optimum. Ilog Maria and Essences have better selection.
