Has anyone used The Salt of Earth lamp? What are the benefits? http://www.thesaltoftheearth.com/?...

A family partaker had bought one for me since I hold allergies/skin conditions and wonder how effective these things really work.

Answer:
I enjoy a halite salt light and it worked wonders for my asthma, when heated it purifies the air and add moisture to the atmostphere. you have to take care though as if they are exposed to cold moisture (eg DONT PUT IT ON A WINDOWSILL) they produce salt and it make a real mess. They do work and the look lovely too!
Aside from any sumptuous benefits, it's all a nouns of hooey.
The benefits of the lamps are both contained by purifying the air and as capably as a decorative piece. It is explained at http://www.himalayansalt.info/himalayan_...
Himalayan saline is claimed to be unpolluted, pure and natural because it comes from the million year behind the times mountains.
They are supposed to release negative ions contained by the atmosphere.

Personally I think they are hooey for the benefits because I can surface the negitive ions from an ionizer; but nothing from the lamp.

If you like them and want to go and get one because they are beautiful; be my guest; simply don;t expect much from them.
