Herbal remedies for anxiety?
I can't sleep and I can't eat due to stress. I discern like I'm around to lose it; can't concentrate at work, or in arts school. I don't see an end within sight. I don't want to step on med's like valium to at ease me down (and I don't drink) Does anyone have any herbal suggestions?

chamomile tea, and there in fact are tons,go to a form food store and they have this huge insinuation book. Magnesium/calcium, B vitamins, some of the B's ..... tinctures: St. Johns' wart, flower tinctures,
nutmeg, freshly ground. you have to mind your Ps and Qs with the dosage though, too much can be death-defying (but that amount is really a LOT). google it to see what is recommended to help beside anxiety/stress related sleep issues. it works, it's just be awhile so i don't remember how much. it was suggested by an APRN.
I just know that a warm chalice of milk at night help sleep.

Chamomile tea and a good book. Avoid caffeine. Try to gain some exercise into your day it will support you de-stress.

I've hear there are different herbs out within for anxiety. However, I don't think any of them really work close to what you would want them to. They might help someone near mild anxiety, but I even doubt that. Valerian, St Johns, etc...I think a short time ago a waste of money. But at lowest they aren't addictive.

A friend of mine swore that Valerian Root be a miracle for him in dealing near stress. I tried it and didn't has as much luck, so guess it vary per person. You could see how it works for you. On time off once a friend of a friend had a herbal soft treatment where you took a few drops. I must say-so that was pretty suitable for a fairly short permanent status effect. She said you could get it contained by any health food store but I looked contained by a couple and didn't see it. But you might want to see if there is something close to that you can find.
I personally ponder the key isn't soley within a pill...it's in finding a bearing to relax your mind and step back from duration. I agree Camomille tea or a camomille blend can be soothing.
