How should tryptophan be used as a sleep aid?

Answer:
Do your own research...

One poster claims it's dangerous, next to nothing to put a bet on it up. Let me back it up for him/her...at hand was a BAD BATCH and contained by 1989 the FDA banned adjectives sales. The problem be traced to a bad shipment from a Japanese manufacturer.

I enjoy a NATUROPATHIC doctor who has me on 5-HTP (cousin to tryptophan) it for sleep and mood leveling and it's fantastic. I pilfer 200mg at bed. (You have to find the dose that work for you!) Melatonin is another route for you if you need a raw sleep aid. I won't take it forever but it's nice to know I am not bloodbath my liver with something synthetic!

GOOD LUCK! :)
I would do more homework on it. There have been studies showing an increase contained by strokes amongst users of tryptophan.
eat some turkey-it contains this amino acid-which induces sleep to due molecular structure
I agree next to Biomike. You just can't step wrong with comsuming the untaught source of these chemicals.

Try adding the following foods:
milk, tuna fish, soybeans, turkey, eggs, almonds, cabbage, kidney or lima beans, oats, pistachios, poppy nut, pumpkin seed, spinach, and wheat. Evening primrose pip contains the most tryptophan of a food source.
it is better to use 5htp, but if u like, u can use the amino sharp
use it at night, one or so hour earlier going to bed
if u decide to run 5htp, then 50mg is the dose to bear
Bananas contain tryptophan..so eat a banana formerly bedtime.
There is just as much tryptophan within beef and chicken as there is surrounded by turkey.

It is a total myth that the tryptophan in turkey make you sleepy.

What makes you sleepy at Thanksgiving is the certainty that the average meal during the holiday is 2,000 to 3,000 calories. Your body shunts extra blood to your digestive system to bar it all and that make you feel tired.

This also happen if you eat a big turkey sandwich, beside a large helping of white bread (even wheat bread is made from white flour) and chips on the side. The insulin response to the blast of glucose cause extra blood to be sent to the pancreas and then to the digestive system. Again it's average biology here making you tired, not tryptophan.

Try melatonin and valerian root. It's safe, cheap and significant.
