As a physician with a naturopathic bent, I use probiotics recurrently in tons different patient types including adjectives types of irritable bowel, immune compromised and patients undergoing antibiotic treatment.
There are no traditional prescription clinical studies that support this use, but I often take positive results. One thing for sure is that are incredibly safe and relatively inexpensive. yogurt contains some probotics such as acidophilus however it is not surrounded by therapeutic amounts,you can win probiotics in the refrigerator subdivision at your local health food stores,it should be a multi-stain since the gut produces a widespread variety of microbes.

You can draw from them anywhere you buy vitamins. I got mine from CVS. Acidophilus. The more live organisms the better. (sounds gross, huh) I used to hold really bad stomache pains from a slow digestive system. Ihave be taking them since xmas and no more pains.
