Buckleys works wonders, because it taste horrible and you stop the cough to stop taking the Buckleys. Benylyn DM works for me.
Nyquil is not good drug, it is freaky. Try musinex or something that is for chest congestion/mucus.

Delsym - 12 hour cough suppressant- you can find it at most any store that sell cough meds. I think it taste great and usually doesn't wear off surrounded by the middle of the night plus it doesnt enjoy all the other ingredients mixed surrounded by like Nyquil does. If you want something surrounded by a pill, I would recomment Mucinex-D. Breaks up the junk surrounded by your chest and makes it easier to cough it out but also supresses the cough near the same ingredient found surrounded by Delsym.
One of the most effective cough medicine is Robitussin.
I like Tylenol Cold I also hear if you put vapor rub on the bottom of your feet at dark it will keep you from coughing
My doctor other recommends Robitussin DM. It works.
