In general the answer should be no. But if someone is morbidly obese and their body become very deconditioned consequently this will affect their overall health. The strength of the immune system depends on many factor including diet, exercise and overall lifestyle. This is in member why someone who becomes bedridden beside a hip fracture can die of respiratory failure.
I don't suggest so, it all depends on the soul, some are fat because they guzzle too much, and other have genetic disorders that receive them big but have watertight health otherwise.
Generally overweight inhabitants have poorer vigour (whether it is genetic or not, being overweight is not healthy), and this lead to poorer immune response.

I read they have better immune system because they enjoy more red blood cells from the flabby.
