Has anyone ever tried hypnosis for smoking?
or anything for that matter? Is is a crock or does it really work?

It worked for me, I used a disc it was call Paul Mckenna - Stop Smoking For Good.
I also Joined (Free) Quit net www.quitnet.com they enjoy a lot of info and forums and a chat room. It be a big help.
I be a smoker for 18 years a pack and a half a time.
a lot of folks go through hell trying to quit I get to say it have not been that discouraging for me so far.
my quit date was Nov 15 2006

My dad's girlfriend tried it and said it didn't work, but I think you hold to really want something to make it work and I don't expect she wanted it. There is also pills that you can take so that every time you hold a cigarette it makes you sick so that approach you never want to smoke. Check out www.addicted.com it's an online recovery site where on earth you can talk to general public in forums in the order of smoking and see if it worked for any of them.
2 of my friends have have this done and it worked.One of them smoked at least 2 pack a day for 20+ plus years.So yes I muse it does work and I'm gonna try it when I'm ready to quit.
My dad tried it years ago.. didn't work. Instead he go an American red cross program. He smoked most of his life. He hasn't smoke since and that be 24yrs ago.
I tried acupuncture 6 years ago to stop smoking and I can honestly say it worked. I enjoy never even had a craving for one. During the first 2 days I tried to verbalize myself out of stopping smoking. I didn't want one I just didn't know how i feel. Come day 3 I feel fantastic, no cravings no nothings. Just a feeling of great feat.
Remember you really need to want to stop. I did try on several occasion with other things close to patches and chewing gum but reflective down i wasnt ready to stop. Good Luck

it works for in the order of 5 days. you have to enjoy a tape or cd to reinforce it. it take about 21 days to see it.
