I think I own a sinus infection. What is the treatment of a sinus infection? A shot? Medicine? Or what?

Hello Randa. I use to suffer from sinus infections every year around this time. My doctor introduced my to an antibiotic called "Z-pack". Its a packet of 3 pills that you give somebody a lift over a three day time. It works so fast and it relieves your aching within hours of taking it. It is by prescription, but it is the best. I took it for give or take a few 3 sinus infections and now I dont even seize them anymore. It is as if the medication helped build up my immune system. Ask your Doctor or nurse. I am sure that they hold heard of it.

depends if it is viral or bacterial. most start virally, and do not require antibiotics. treat next to hot steams to the face, lots of thaw drinks and clear fluids in nonspecific, and try mucinex or sinus formulations like advil or doesn`t matter what over the counter. if it doesn't start getting better surrounded by a few days (cough can last for for a moment while), or if your phlegm is greenish in color and you're premonition feverish and sore muscles, consequently go see a clinician.
Get a nettie pot and purify out the sinus several times a day. If it hasn't taken ahold, that should nick care of it. Also you might carry some ear wash and bathe out your ears-the ears and sinus are connected and if one backs up it can affect the other.
Regular use of the nettie pot can prevent sinus infections.
A decongestant to unclog you. An antibiotic to gun down the bacteria within your sinus. Tylenol or Advil for any pain you may hold from the pressure.
biaxin seems to work best for me when my infrction is severe. for most commonplace sinus act up during the year - i thieve tylenol sinus 1x per day
