Hi,
You can try the alternative remedies at the GrannyMed website:
1. Asthma treatment: put partially a teaspoon of licorice root tea in a cup of hot hose down, wait 10 minutes, strain and drink.
2. Blend radish, honey and lemon liquid in a blender. Mix for 20 minutes and cook surrounded by pan on low steam. Take one teaspoon in the morning everyday.
3. Yemeni med: Put one teaspoon of grind fenugreek seed (Hilba) in a chalice of boiling water, join sugar or honey and drink 3 times daily.
And tons more.
I suffer from moderate asthma. I find that using a humidifier with melt air sometimes help me, especially when it starts to get cold out. Also, I find that I can lend a hand reduce the severity of an asthma attack by mentally conversation myself down. I find that the normal hypersensitivity to a severe asthma attack is to worry and worrying seem to make it worse for me. Also, be paid sure that he is not around triggers. For me, I hate mortal around smokers. You can also try to reduce some of the allergens contained by your home. For example they have special hypoallergenic pillows and bed sheets. Make sure that you home is mold/mildew free. How ancient are your carpets and drywall? Make sure to dust commonly. I find things like that valuable.
Yes I know someone who had nouns with butekyo asthma breathing control & stopped using the puffer.
1. Enviornment. (Air purifier, free of dust, no allergy triggers, no smoke surrounded by the home, no fireplaces, no gas stoves, limited exposure to pollen, grass, etc., once or twice each day showers, change of bed linens twice a week and pillowcases every other time...etc. )
2. Nutrition. (Build up on vitamins, minerals, EFAs, etc.)
3. Use preventative asthma medications - don't other rely on the steroid "emergency" inhaler to make you comfortable - that's already far TOO LATE. You shouldn't be using that commonly. I wouldn't recommend abstaining from taking his medications altogether (the preventative types) if he feel he needs it - since you're dealing next to something as serious as breathing.
4. Do daily or twice-daily pulminary reading with a peak-flow device to check up. The dated stand-by diagnostic for asthmatics. The higher number, the better. S'a apt idea to check formerly and after exercise, too, just to take home sure.
5. Look into Homeopathic (and Bach Flower, as well) remedies to help his seasonal allergies. Hylands and Dolisos both engineer reputable formulas that I use myself.
6. Consider Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine - but please, spend time to find a GOOD one!
Look into Chiropractic
