One thing I've discovered from personal experience is that green tea seem to act as a diuretic, ie it encourage lots and lots of peeing. Very useful when I'm trying to achieve over a bout of cystitis.

Green tea is extremely good for you, you freshly have to look at the answers already posted to see that.
In my assessment though it is not the nicest tasting point to drink. There is another tea called Redbush tea or Rooibos tea (depanding where on earth you buy it.) One particular brand call Yogi tea is brilliant. There are different varieties available containing adjectives different herbs and spices and they love divine, my personal fave...African spice. They can also be drunk like regular tea (with milk and suger) if desired. Rooibos tea also contains alot more antioxidants than gree tea.
