Brain injury and alterntive drug?
I am Deepak Sharma from New Delhi India, my younger brother with age 20 year have a brain injury a road accident on 2nd March 2, 2007 at 11 am by Indian IST time.
He is blackout and on ventilator since he reached within hospital in critical supervision unit. Today morning the neurosurgeon attending him told me that the condition of lenient is poor condition he has NIL brain reflex, pupils are fixed and dilated and brain stem is dead, the CT Scan showed BILATERAL SUB DURAL HAEMORRHAGE his BP is 100/60 mm/hg, RR 15 per min, HR 102 per min.
Kindly provide suggestion regarding one and the same in any feild

If his pupils are dilated and fixed with subdural hematoma, guess you already know that he's promising brain dead. Have they done a EEG or 'caloric reflex test'?
Are these 'fundamental signs' (BP, HR, RR) you mentioned due to 'pressors'? He's already on vent support but, is he able to profess his own HR? If so, did the neurosurgeons mention any possibilities of brain surgery?
Well, since he's only 20.....he have a better chance of war than a 60 year old! Hopefully he's not on 'pressors'.
Unfortunately, the likelihood of full recovery are still grim.

I am not an MD, however I have have one cousin and one casual friend who be in nearly compatible dire straits as your brother.
