Does peanut butter, rubbing alcohol,or diesel fuel work for herald lice? what is the best remedy?

Answer:
Tea Tree oil works better.

Once departed, smother hair near conditioner and comb them out. Final rinse with Tea tree grease in the river...... Sorted!
A big bottle of Kwell shampoo
Lice shampoo, then brush pelt with a lice comb??
RID
buy some barrier shampoo that kills lice
use a together jar of mayo, it suffocates them to death
Its call RID and its specifically for head lice
Use the stuff they get rid of at the stores, Rid or something. Make sure after treatment, you manually remove all the nits. It will bring a long time but it will guarantee a no return by the little buggers. See ya.
Go to your local drug store and get lice shampoo
tea tree grease!!!! u put it on the head... put a shower sunhat on for 15-20 min. and take it rotten and the eggs and live lice fall out! LITERALLY!
self imagine diesel and a clash would do the trick but id vote it would hurt alot

i had team leader lice when i was a kid for a year man it be the worst ever i had extremely thick quill they just kept person immune to the stuff my mam put in my fuzz
dr. will prescribe quell. i would imagine peanut butter would because it will block out nouns that they need to live. you could try this net site it might help you also. www.webmd.com
No. You stipulation a treatment, called Rid or Nix. You can find it pretty much anywhere. Also clean up all the bedding and clothes within VERY hot water. They craft a spray for your furniture and carpets as economically. and oh my gosh...fuel in your curls?!? that's kinda scary.
KWELL shampoo - followed by 91% rubbing alcohol. soak for person in charge and hair. Listerine rinse effective also.

You gotta do it !!!!!! cut the hair short for a while. buy the stuff and enjoy courage/!!!!!!
For a home remedy I know that olive oil works. It is supposed to smother them. Definatly verbs all brushes or throw them out. Any stuffed animals pillows preserve them in a trash pack for about 2 weeks so they can die. All blankets and clothes mop up in hot hose down if you can and then product sure there within the dryer. Vaccume as good as you can. Head Lice is not natural to get rid so spawn sure you clean apt!
no no and no go to the store and grasp lice stuff it works
No. None of the things you mention will have any effect.

Worse all the same, most modern head lice hold developed a resistance to most over the counter treatments.

Olive oil and a lice comb are pretty effectual. The oil prevents the little buggers from mortal able to attach their egg sack to your hair. The lice comb simply removes the little buggers and their eggs.

The down side is you want to *thoroughly* coat and comb your hair (all the route down to the scalp) daily for in the region of 10 days and leave the grease in for give or take a few an hour each time to completely achieve rid of the little buggers.
I've heard of rubbing alcohol, but i don`t know roughly speaking the peanut butter, alcohol also kill the eggs.My mom use to also use gasoline and that worked also.Good luck
Would you really put these items on your own herald? Man get your butt to the drug store and return with some Rid Lice!
but if you still want to try something eles here goes:
Mayo and Denorex DOES work. The trick is to do repeat treatments. Coat the entire leader with a gelatinous layer of mayo, making sure that every tresses and the entire scalp are coated. Section hair and work from scalp to ends to ensure complete coverage. wrap 2-3 layer of plastic (I've done showercaps, plastic grocery bags, and saran wrap. All three work- the perception is to prevent mayo from leaking and provide an airtight cover.) Using 3' sticky heavy mask tape help keep the plastic surrounded by place. Leave mayo wrap on overnight, or at least 8 hours. Rinse mayo (dishsoap help take the greasy residue from the mayo out,) after wash pelt with a tacky helping of Extra Strength Denorex shampoo. Leave shampoo on for 3 minutes, then rinse. Any conditioner beside coconut works- I bought a 24 oz bottle of Suave with coconut for $2.00 and it worked fine. Rinse, dry, afterwards section down and work out any nits left surrounded by. The older nits will own been kill due to lack of oxygen, however current nits can survive the treatment because they do not need oxygen the first few days to survive. I've read that vinegar help loosen the nit glue, helping them slide out next to ease, however I found the vinegar to be completely useless, except making the hair smell even worse. Again, THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS REPEAT TREATMENTS!! I did 3 treatments, respectively 3 days apart and my daughter is now lice free. I spent lower than $20 for everything- an 80 oz bottle of mayo (real mayo-not light, or Miracle Whip) a 12 oz bottle of Extra Strength Denorex, and a bottle of Suave near Coconut. The most expensive item was the Denorex. Don't forget to wipe sheets, blankets, towels, clothing, etc. as doing this treatment will not repel lice from returning, as the medications do. If your child comes posterior into contact with an infested child/object the lice will return. By wash all washable items or putting away surrounded by plastic bags for 2 weeks, and restricting interaction near any possible contaminated person you will hold a much better chance of staying free of these annoying bugs!

Best remedy for Lice is simple: apply a tacky coating of mayonnaisse to your child's hair. Be sure to rub it down to the roots and the scalp, paying particular attention to the nape of the nouns and the areas just above the ears. Carefully wrap a plastic grocery backpack or plastic wrap around the hair (DO NOT LEAVE CHILD UNATTENDED, PLASTIC BAGS CAN CAUSE SUFFOCATION) and continue one hour. **Rinse hair surrounded by very warm/hot hose, using a comb to help slide mayo stale of hair. The lice will own risen to the surface of the hair and will be uncomplicated to remove, and the nits will slide right out. Wash hair beside DAWN Dishwashing liquid to go and get residual oils out. Then follow near shampoo and conditioner, preferably a Coconut-scented brand and/or one that contains Tea Tree Oil (lice HATE both of these). Repeat again in 10 days. Great alternative to difficult chemical shampoos, and EFFECTIVE!

For head lice use Listerine (original flavor). We have lice in our home and used everything over-the-counter we could find. Someone told me roughly speaking Listerine and it worked. I just put it within a spray bottle full strength. When I bathed the children, I would wash their spine with shampoo, I skipped the conditioner, later I sprayed the Listerine on their scalp and tried to leave it at hand for at least 10 minutes after rinse and don't shampoo again. The kids did complain that it stung so I would just win a cool cloth and lay it on their head, during the 10 minutes, shifting periodically. It also helped to distract them by playing surrounded by the tub with some toys. I used it on myself too. It really worked. I did a treatment on them at every tub for a week, then once a week for a month, combing near a nit comb after I got them out of the tub. After the first application though, I did not see another louse or nit. Now whenever I hear of lice going around at academy, I Listerine their head. As far as the bedding, furniture and mat, I just used the over-the-counter products and vacuumed everything profoundly, several times in one week. We've be lice free ever since.

The only not detrimental and sure remedy I found was to THOROUGHLY comb my daughter's tresses every single day for 4-5 days (or until you don't find any more). Use a special lice comb and comb the coat from the scalp to the end surrounded by 1/4' sections. Sure, it's affliction, but we'd put a movie on while a combed her hair, so it go fast and she enjoy it. I kept a small bowl of water to rinse the lice past its sell-by date of the comb.

Don't forget to wash and dry pillows, stuffed animals, clothes, etc.

None of the other remedies worked for me (mayo, grease, commercial kits, and I would NEVER put kerosene within my child's hair!) Combing the critters out is the simply way.

My daughter first come home from school beside lice in Jan. I be so upset cause my daughter take good carefulness of her hair. At first I go to the store and got Rid i followed it to the nouns and yet she be still infested and i was still pulling out live bugs. So consequently I bought Nix. I thought everything was great untill following that night When I be combing though her hair and still saw live bugs. Then it turns out that me and my other daughter get it to. I then started looking on the internet and saw this poster for LiceRX I bought some and couldnt wait till it get here. I thought that had work the academy nurse even checked us and we were okay. LiceRx even told us that we didnt havet to do it again surrounded by 7 to 10 days like Nix and Rid. After awhile my daughter get sent home again with it so the process started adjectives over. I couldnt believe it cause I know we were verbs and so was my house. Come to find out the neighbor be outside and she told me that he daughter had lice and that she couldnt achieve rid of it for about 8 months in a minute and here I didnt know that and my daughter was over her house playing beside her daughters and thats how it ended surrounded by her hair again. I couldnt use the LiceRx again bring it aleady caused my daughter to break out and enjoy scabs on her scalp. So I tried something else cause I be at my wits end I read something call mayo mayo and more mayo for lice. What I did was grill some mayo ( the real mayo ) and coated my daughters mane and put a shower cap on her boss and let her sit near for 2 to 3 hours. Then washed it out beside dawn dish soap ( for the grease ) and after that I wash it with Coconut shampoo after with Coconut Cond, later last but not lowest possible cause this is the most significant thing I after washed her spine with Denorex shampoo ( the best shampoo for this ) I consent to that sit on her hair for roughly speaking 5 mins then I wash it out after that I blowed dried her hair on glorious heat and i combed though near will be no live ones cause of the mayo it smothers them. The nits should a moment ago comb out with a correct nit comb not a lice comb cause its teeth are to far apart to run out the nits. EVERY morning and EVERY night bath the hair near Denorex shampoo and blow dry the hair and save searching for the nits. What the Denorex shampoo does it dries them out to where on earth they cant mate and kills them. Please tolerate me know if this helps anyone or if you hold any questions. But believe me coloring your spine or any of that over the counter dont work and i couldnt do the vinger cause as soon as i put that on my daughters come first she screamed.. Use Suave Tropical Coconut shampoo and conditioner (less then a buck a bottle) and dust with it as the coconut grease smothers and kills the lice. I would suggest doing this for a week or two and the first week after putting within the conditioner sit down with the conditioner not here in beside a lice comb to comb the lice and nits out....

I would also suggest possibly changing your children over to this as infestations are adjectives at school not to mention when it's sports season because of sharing helmets and this helps repel them.

Comb through with a lice comb.

I hold also found that tee tree grease, coconut oil, rosemary, and mint grease help to repel the lice. If you do this morning and dark any newly hatch lice will be unable to reproduce since they will be kill before they are become fully grown enough to lay eggs. Continue next to the hair wash routine until all nits are removed. My daughter and I did this and it be effective and secure unlike the pesticidal shampoos.

After doing any of these remedies and physically removing the nits wash the quill then bring the hair surrounded by 1/2 inch sections and dry respectively section next to a hair dryer on HIGH HEAT. Make sure that respectively section is dry from root to tip. The warmth will kill any remaining pests. Becareful not to burn the creature. You can also follow this by again parting the spike into 1/2 inch sections and running a curling iron or a straighting iron, on lofty heat, along the spike shaft from scalp to end. Again the warmth will burn the nits and lice. Dry the hair after respectively time washing it as a maintence.

Also when doing any topical remedy apply the solution to the scalp and to the first 2 inches of the tresses shaft, by taking 1/2 inch sections at a time, next work it on to the ends of the hair. The lice live surrounded by the scale and lay eggs on the pelt shaft. Good Luck!

I enjoy never typed anything like this up to that time but after battling skipper lice and finding a relativly easy remidy for such a throbbing in the butt issue similar to head lice I have to give my two cents worth. If you don't want to read our horror story I'll sum it up, BUY EXTRA STREGNTH DENOREX and view the lice DIE!!!!
We battled the commander lice issue with our two boys this olden summer. When our oldest came home next to the 'creepy crawlies' from baseball we did the RID routine and 'nit picked' for HOURS and HOURS. We wanted to shave his organizer, it was June and it get hot here, but he didn't want to do that so we battled through it and kill all the eggs and lice....or so we thought. Our youngest have lice about 2 months then, we don't know if it was a reinfestation or if he caught it from somewhere else. We didn't want to jump through all the throbbing of the first go around, and we researched the internet, freshly like you are doing presently if your reading this, and DENOREX EXTRA STERGNTH kept popping up as a remidy. We thought 'why not' it is a shampoo not an instecticide, and tried it and IT ALONE on our youngest. We could see the lice fall out of his spine and onto his back; they be dead, we wash all the sheets, clothes, etc... but individual washed his curls with DENOREX for the first week everynight, and every other darkness for the second week, and were LICE FREE after that, you still will hold to 'Nit Pick' with a nit comb, but I thought it be alot quicker after we washed his fleece with the denorex, I don't know if the salasylic (sp) sour lossens the nits or not. We now purify their hair 1-2 times a week next to it for preventative maintenance. I don't know if this will work for you, but for us we won't run a week without everyone wash thier hair near DENOREX!!!

The remedies here for (head)lice(vinegar, mayo, etc.) are honourable, but they fail to address the problem of reinfestation from your own pillows and chairs, etc.
Body lice contained by particular live within seams of clothing and come out twice a year to feed on the host(you).
Body lice: They can live for 15-40 days contained by clothing without feed. The trick is to wear the same (few) clothing for one month until lice starve surrounded by other changes of clothing that you wore when infested. Clean clothing that you wear reasonably often to diminish the lice population in worn clothing while they die of starvation within unused clothing. After at least 30 days, switch clothing. Use over the counter lice spray for chairs and environment. Or, you may want to try alcohol and/or white vinegar.
Head lice: Follow directions of others here in respect to use of vinegar, mayo, alcohol, tea tree oil soap or coconut shampoo, etc.
But I would push for turning your mattress over every time you wash bedsheets and spraying both next to over the counter (lice) chemical spray or vinegar and alcohol. Use only the latter two on pillow sheets. Probably okay to use chemical on pillows and chief board.
Good luck, amigos.

I had my daughter purify her hair beside Denorex Extra Stength, then I mixed mayonaise, tea tree grease, and vinegar and put on her hair and covered near a shower cap for 1hour. Then rinsed, you could see the insensible lice and the eggs had turned white. Then I used a lice comb to take them out. Washed twice with Dawn Detergent and next with Denorex again. This dries the fuzz out so use a real upright conditioner.

10-15 drops of black walnut extract mixed with nearly 15-20oz of water within a spray bottle will repel lice. You only entail to apply 2 squirts either higher than or underneath the bottom of the hair day by day just prior to possible exposure. I squirt my daughter's down each morning formerly I take her to conservatory.

My children had principal lice for 15 years. Nix and Rid and lindane and mayo do not work. Head lice have become immune to everything. They snigger at us when we stick these crazy products on our heads. They enjoy learned to survive through everything, only like the cockroach. There is simply one thing that they enjoy not figured out nonetheless. Take a metal lice comb and comb through your child's hair every time for two weeks. This breaks the life cyle which is 7 to ten days. After two weeks, comb for five min. every morning back school. Check your child's spine every week while they are in conservatory. My children have not have head lice for 8 months presently. It is in the academy all of the time. One daylight I found a head lice on two of my children. I combed their hackle for a week and they never got one nit. I swear by this remedy because I am not lying. I fought go before live for 15 years. I poored all giving of concoctions on my children's hair. They never worked.

I use nought but the ROBI_COMB!!! It only costs almost $30 and takes one double A mobile. You can find it at almost any drug store. It makes a buzzing swish that shuts off when you hold a critter between the teeth. So, you can also use it to effectively check for lice. It takes roughly a half hour to comb through surrounding substance lenghth hair. As for the nits, simply use it every morning and hours of darkness or at least once a light of day. It will kill the buggers after hatch when they are still too small to reproduce. If the host has extraordinarily thick down, you are bound to miss a nit or two just using a nit comb. You hold to be consistant with this but it is chemical and mess free. I used it on adjectives 3 of my daughters and even took it with me to church military camp!! Sure enough here were two little girls that brought them beside them. I was glad to treat them and it be very discreet. They be so heavily infested (about 4 generations!!) I sent it home beside them and got our nearest and dearest another. Get the Robi Comb it works!!

You can totally prevent Head Lice by using Head and Shoulders Shampoo. It does not concern what kind, you could even use the cheap brand. There is tablets in it only just like the rest of the dandruff shampoos that the lice will not come in the vicinity. When I was a child I repeatly get lice alot because of a girl next to me on the college bus. One of my friends would set by her too but never caught it. Her mother told mine that she made her wash her fleece with Head and Shoulders. So consequently my mom made me wash my coat with it. The other girl never really get rid of it but I never caught it again. When my child started school I made her stop using adjectives of those childrens shampoos and start using Head and Sholders. There was impossible break outs in my childs arts school last years and my child did not find lice not one time. She even had a couple of friends that caught it. I told those parents duplicate thing.

For children who are prone to person in charge lice shampoo and condition their hair within coconut scented shampoo this will prevent skipper lice(lice do not like the smell of coconut). I used Sauve for a dollar a piece. You could also use olive grease shampoo but it is expensive or tea tree shampoo but it can sometimes give a burning touch, I have have the best experience with coconut. As an extra preventative you can google mother outlook.com for a pure olive oil shampoo at ten dollars a bottle it will break down the skeleton of a lice bugs body and prevent them from lay eggs, treat with this once a week as a routine and use every hours of darkness when lice is found in your child's college. These steps will prevent any lice.

I am a arts school nurse and deal next to head lice on a monthly justification. The ONLY thing that is to say %100 effective at getting rid of skipper lice is to pick each and every nit and bug out next to your fingers. Check the child/person every day for a week or two removing any you see, vaccum the house and wipe the bedding in hot hose down. There are no remedies except this.

My daughter is prone to get organizer lice all the time. And using the chemical shampoos is not natural, so instead i used Olive Oil. I put it in her tresses so it's good and slick, makin sure the entire lead is wet, consequently i put a shower cap on her person in charge and let it stay on over dark and the next morning shampoo near regular shampoo.I did that for a week and it was gone!.The Olive grease smothers the babies in the eggs and the live lice, and the olive grease makes the spine soo smooth it's impossible for them to remain in the mane and reproduce 'laying more eggs'.Still treat your household ,vacumming, wash everything..anything clothe, hot dryer for 1 hour to kill the lice&eggs.

head and shoulders shampoo
NO, not really, mainly DO NOT use diesel fuel!

Try getting some pure Teetree oil...affix approx 15-20 drops to enough olive grease to saturate the fuzz...leave on for approx 20 minutes, rinse.

Shampoo in good health, rinse, another 15-20 drops of teetree oil (or as much as will cover the coat and scalp well) only and squeeze into hair and scalp...do not rinse.

Then using a "nit" comb travel through the hair several times.

24 hours latter redo the treatment and next after every shampoo thereafter, add the teetree grease as the final application to keep lice away.

You can also use Teetree grease shampoos and conditioners or add teetree grease to your favorite shampoos for a regular treatment every week or so.

The other route is to use the expensive treatments which have to be redo a few weeks later anyway usually.

My entire group of kids (5) plus myself get head lice the first year we moved to another city...it be wretched and even tho we used the treatments purchased nothing worked...until we used the teetree...I be generous near it too trying to get rid of these things...it worked awfully well and we've not have any recurrences in a quantity of years now thank holiness.

Good luck!
None of the above. Go to the pharmacy and find the shampoo for treating head lice. Lice Shampoo is the best treatment. There are different name, but ask the pharmacist which is the best one. Also, change your bed linens, look for nits (the little shiny things contained by your hair that you cannot remove by combing.
Do not wear a herald covering (like a hat or cap)that you wore in the past you got lice (if you hold it). Throw the head coverings away or dust them in hot sea. (best to throw them away). They contain the nits and you can just acquire the lice back. Get clean brush and comb and throw the old ones away to be locked. Never use anyone's comb or brush but your own.
will not it dos not work at all a short time ago get some darife shampo and use that o.k. because what you trying it do's not wrok at adjectives.
frontline
DO NOT use diesel fuel or gasoline or anything combustable, there own been several accidents because it be thought that was a solution or remedy for person in charge lice.
Is someone making fun of alternative medicine by asking more or less
peanut butter, rubbing alcohol,or diesel fuel for head lice...
If you use shampoo that have tea tree oil surrounded by it it will help prevent you from getting it...the little buggers apparently don't close to the tea tree oil.
Rubbing alcohol and diesel fuel are dicey chemicals that are absorded into the body thru our skin, you really don't want to use this on anyone's head, especially children. Try using a big grade of Tea Tree Oil (melaleuca alternifolia) mixed surrounded by your regular shampoo or get some Melaleuca Oil Shampoo - email me on where on earth to buy this shampoo - it's a catalog.internet store.

And please beware of over the counter head lice shampoo as most of these contain treacherous PESTICIDES.
