how do i know if an ear infection is fungal or bacterial?

I have have a nasty ear infection contained by my right ear for about a month. I enjoy tried everything from grapefruit seed extract to tea tree grease and hydrogen peroxide but it has with the sole purpose helped. But very soon i notice a desperate smell when i put my finger in my ear.
I dont want to use antibiotics because if it is a fungal infection, it will bring back worse but how do i tell?

Answer:
I don't reflect on anyone makes a home audition to find out if you have an infection, fungal or otherwise surrounded by your ear. But since even the slightest infection could cause permanant defile or hearing loss, I would suggest that you see a doctor.

Go see the doctor that diagnosed your sister's ear problem correctly, he will at lowest have a domestic medical history to work with.
I'm going to move about out on a limb on this one.

It could be only just a bacterial ear infection.if peroxide hasn't helped by in a minute, you're gonna have to achieve to the doctor; especially if you have an odor.could progress to pus-like oozing if you don't catch it treated.
