Disposal of unused medication?
I have a sack of unused prescription meds (pills) that belonged to my husband. I tried returning them to the hospital pharmacy, where they be purchased, so they could dispose of them.
They wouldn't take them. Does anyone know of a place surrounded by Santa Clara Co., CA where I can catch rid of them in the correct approach?

for your health it is flushing them... but that damages our wet supply.
burning them in a fireplace works, but contained by california chances are you dont enjoy one
if the place you bought them from cannot tell you the best bearing to dispose of the or do it for you then they are a grisly facility, I would recommend calling, asking for a supervisor and asking the supervisor what their recommendations are.. they hold a responsibilty to protect your health and the vigour of others and if they refuse to sustain you tell them that and put in the picture them you are going to report them to the California Health Depaertment which liscences them
Call a pharmacy & see if you can flush them.
DONT FLUSH THEM! they have said not to flush them, you never know where on earth they will end up or what could devour them, would u want to feel impossible for killing of fish or something else? phone up the pharmacy and ask how your suppose to dispose of them.
PUT THEM IN A LANDFILL

give the name your pharmicist and see if it is ok for you to flush them, otherwise take them to a different pharmacy, and see if they will give somebody a lift them for you.
you could go speak to your local GP and ask him give or take a few disposing them for you .
or try another pharmacy..
Medications can be flushed down the toilet. They will dissolve and degrade into smaller amount hazardous chemicals. This keeps them out of the hand of those who might be hurt by them. (Children have be known to guzzle them out of the trash.)
Pharmacies cannot take spinal column medications after they own been dispensed.
I other flush own unused medications. Any fish surrounded by the sewer are more lucky to die a disease virus the rare arbitrariness they would shallow an undissolved pill. Besides, if you live in the country you would enjoy a septic tank.
