Why do the Chinese insist on draining bile from live bear to produce useless medicine that don't work?

I belong to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, and their reports of what the Chinese get up to a short time ago sicken me.They've been battle this bear-bile thing for years. The bear are kept in tiny, filty cage in grey rooms, and their wounds, which are kept permanently unseal, often acquire infected. It makes me so doleful and angry.
Of concern at the moment, though, is the use of tiger bones and other 'body parts' (penises) that they use. Traditional Chinese herbal medicines can be shown to be of benefit, and are benign. Surely any sane personage would rather that than pursue an animal to extinction for its ground bones. It's resembling headhunters getting power or knowledge from consumption their enemies' brains. It should be consigned to the dark ages - China requests to enter the 21st century, after all, and that money leaving these practices losing.
I think the cruelty is a cultural article.

presently how do you know they dont work?i have have many chinky medicine that have worked for me after i hold tried conventional medics that have ben tried and tested on adjectives sorts of animals.every country have here own ways of producing medics. just because we dont agree doesnt get it wrong.
It's pure torture and barbaric savagery, done to muzzled bears contained by cages purely for commercial gain so it doesn't trademark any difference if the medicine works or not. As long as there's a buyer, they will take on doing it to sell it. The Chinese (and the rest of the world) should outlaw it and be ashamed of themselves for permit this senseless and deliberate suffering.
Not trying to be a smart-***, but who say it doesn't work? Have you seen quantifiable fact somewhere that concludes that it 's a useless prescription? More and more, we're discovering that "old" or "foreign"remedies actually do own scientific foundation, and the Western world is beginning to cart Eastern culture seriously, including their medicines. Seems bizarre to several people, but nonetheless, it's not adjectives total nonsense. Look at the overall strength and fitness of Eastern versus Western culture... I'm no expert, but I think I retract that they "win" so to speak, so there must be something to it that we surrounded by the West just don't acquire yet.
