Does anyone know anything in the region of Chinese pills?

I am thinking of going to a Chinese herbalist,
i have a few condition problems that i have have for many several years, and am tried of trying pill after pill and then man past from doctor to doctor, next to no help.
I want to know if anyone have been and have help?
or a discouraging experience?
is it safe if you are on vastly strong antidepressants and the birth control pill?
how do you know if they are quilified?
I have hear that if you get spots on your frontage, (depending where) it can relate to areas in your body that inevitability help, where on earth can i get info on this?
