There is a much better treatment in a minute than the cremes for cold sores. Ask your doctor about an anti-viral medication call valtrex. It is actually a medication for genital herpes, but the ocld sore virus is from like peas in a pod family, and it works really powerfully in treating cold sores. My doctor prescribed it for me in the order of 5 years ago, and you take it one and only when you feel a cold sore coming on. It shortens the life span of the cold sore and it makes it smaller number likely that you will attain another attack. I used to get cold sores thoroughly frequently, probably as often as once a month. Now I now and then get a cold sore, and when I do, it is gone much faster. For me it have been a wonder drug!!
Once you own herpes type 1 (that causes cold sores on the mouth) you can't cure it. It will flare up if you are below some sort of physical or emotional stress. The sores are treatable beside creams and such. However no kissing, sharing cutlery, or oral sex while you have an alive outbreak or you'll pass it on to the other entity.
