Can traditional acupuncture cure sledge hammer toes?
Hammer toes is a condition when the four smaller toes get aggrevated when walking and underneath the toes I grain some nerve pains. When I am running these toes crunch up or folded up. A friend of mine have the same article and if this problem is not solved, it will be impossible to straighten up the toes in a folded position. Can acunpuncture solve this problem?
Acupuncture can treat anything from cancer to a adjectives cold to hair loss. I'm sure that a GOOD doctor of Chinese Medicine can oblige with your tack hammer toes. I recommend seeing a doctor who uses both acupuncture and herbology.
In the meantime, I recommend using Yoga Toes (www.yogapro.com/ts/toestretch... You can wear them to help stretch out your toes and straighten them. They've help me tremendously with foot and lower-leg problems.
No...see a podiatrist
There are copious tendons that come from the muscles around the lower legs and terminate within the toes. therefore, the muscle surrounded by the lower leg is the "engine" that causes the movement of the toes. There are local muscles surrounded by the foot that also impact on the movement of the toes too.
Acupuncture can be very advantageous for hammer toes. It is bunions that acupuncture is not so functional.
You'd be amazed at how much relief you can obtain with acu. It will also assist you the stomach-ache as well as the continuum of motion and serve as a nice adjunct should you want a podiatrist. I've treated many podiatrists.
