I cant sleep....what should I do?

Most of the time people who meditate they have insomnia are lately worried about something or own a problem they can't figure out.
The solution is to make conversation it out with someone else.
However, if you are self medicating near alcohol or weed, the problem will become worse. Besides not being competent to sleep, when you finally fall asleep you find yourself wake up at 5 AM and not being competent to sleep again.
True insomnia is due to the body's inability to produce enough melatonin. This is a hormone your brain produces to relay your body to sleep. The trigger for it is photoreactive. That is, when it gets pitch-black, your brain produces the melatonin.
In our modern world, it seldom gets dim because we just turn on the lights.
If you are scarce melatonin, the effect would be life long. The melatonin trigger is not something that comes and go.
With that being said, you can receive melatonin at any health food store. This type is a plant hormone.
It's not a drug, so it isn't addictive or even obsession forming.
It is available in 3mg or 5mg doses.
It's even available within a slow release version.
I would try the 3mg size. They come as little tablets or as gel capsule.
There is also a form that looks like a substantial aspirin. Don't buy this type as it has too copious other useless ingredients.
Take two 3mg tablets about 30 to 45 minutes previously you go to bed.
It's not a drug, so don't expect it to knock you out. It freshly helps your body do what it's supposed to do fluently.

drink a cup of heat tea or warm milk. after take a tub, or just rest beside cozzy pj's on. that should help. if that doesn't assist, talk to your doctor.
im sure it is intervening...if u still get trouble sleeping after a week or so consequently u should go see a doc....put away pasta! lol...it makes me sleepy..dunno of it will for u though
exercise and listen to music. Exercise is to wear yourself out. after listening to music make you get that low feeling of sleepiness. But if you haven't slept for days later you have insomnia. Or whip a sleeping pill one night but after try not to take it again the other hours of darkness and see if that helps.
Just stay up reading a book, or surfing the network, watching TV until you get tired. Like, tangible tired. Then most likely you'll know how to fall asleep.
Anyway that's what I do if I can't acquire to sleep.

Kim, you can be insomniac or there may be other reason for missing sleep. Prepare yourself mentally an hour before going to sleep , that once your go before touches the pillow you are going to feel sleepy. Don't see T.V. before going to bed, optical excitement is bad for your brain. Do open breathing, drink a cup of hot milk and cover your eyes either beside your arm or a piece of cloth after lying down.....Lo and presto! you will be snoring in no time.

after years of begging get lunesta, 1 mg. did work 3 mg. is doing better, but still don't sleep like the 8 hours they speak about you to prepare for. tried ambeincr worked great but its about $115.a month.
I hold this all the time. I come up with I am an insomniac. I do take a tea, and return with cozy, read a little, consequently this works for me after I've relaxed myself some: - I never hear the end of it, I'm asleep by consequently.
