Can I refreeze meat, that I bought frozen?
I bought a lb. of ground beef from a farm, they freeze it fresh, so it hasnt sit out at all, but I want to agree to it defrost and make burger patty out of it, and then freeze the patty for single-one-at-a-time use, can I do this saftley, I know you shouldnt refrezze frozen meat if you froze it at home, because of the time between the store and you...etc, but would this be okay?
Answer:
My mother used to do that all the time and adjectives 7 of her children are still alive.
Your beef was fresh, so long as the meat be very cold when you mixed it, and your hand and utensils were without fault clean, it will be fine.
Otherwise, in that is nothing wrong next to cooking the patties, draining them and freezing them, in actual fact it's alittle more convenient, as you would just hold to re-heat them for your lunch :)
as well, when you rob the patties out to cook (if they are uncooked), my mother other cooked them from frozen. She rarely defrost them.
I wouldn't do that.
Nope. One freeze is all you draw from.
it should be fine, if you defrost it carefully, the refrigerator is best, next just when its defrost go ahead and take home the patties and refreeze,,,, dont be off it sitting around defrosted even contained by the frig
while you never want to leave meat sitting around after it have been frozen, i hold many times bought full-size packages, brought them home, froze them, taken them out, decided i simply wanted to use partially,, left them defrost freshly to point i could break it up/shape it, and refroze, its been fine,,,,
I own always hear that it will go discouraging if you do that...I think it does something abnormal to the meat. soo...NO!
Yes you can we always do that here even fish, meat, chicken etc. it wont do anything to the food in recent times microwave it when you want to eat it though hehe
vacuum pack it and freeze so they dont grasp frost bites and get a funny nibble. you can always refreeze meat :D
Makes it tough but not unsavoury !
Once frozen meat has be defrosted it's really not a biddable idea to refreeze. Once it have be defrosted it have time to develop germ growth etc. Plus refreezing can make the meat not fancy as good the subsequent time it's defrosted.
NO don't do it ..
No, logically not!!! Never thaw and refreeze any sensitive of meat. Bad idea.
NO, ONCE THE MEAT IS THAWED YOU SHOULDN'T REFREEZE IT. THE HEALTH DEPT. WILL TELL YOU NOT TO REFREEZE
Thaw it out contained by the ice box not on the counter and it should be ok! It will purloin a while though. Why not make your patty and cook them, then freeze them. When needed rob out and throw in mickie mic (microwave) oven to roast them.
from a chef yes you can if you cook it first or make it into something you similar to if you do not like these option invite me round for a meal and i enjoy big appetite and i will bring the wine
My wife does this quite repeatedly and we are still in the best of condition.
of course it will be fine, as long as the meat doesnt sit out, thaw for more than a day or two. i do it adjectives the time, buy bulk amount of it, break it apart and then re freeze it.
No, don’t; unless you approaching throwing up all dark long!
I think you can defrost meat, cook it hastily and refreeze it after it has cooled, and it will be past the worst to heat up and munch through at a later date. You get it right. The problem is when you defrost meat and then refreeze it unprepared, or defrost meat and let it sit, resembling you said.
