Amoxicillan is fine. Metronizadol is a different kettle of fish. It's a close cousin of Antabuse, which is prescribed to recovering alcoholics and will donate you with the mother of adjectives hangovers, but it is for the most part used for dental problems so you should be OK unless you have be prescribed this.

It is not recommended. Drinking alcohol won't effect you any differently to how it usually does BUT it will stop the antibiotics from working. Your choice of not having an alcoholic drink for a short spell or the antibiotics working & you getting rid of an infection.

Its a myth that you cant drink on antibiotics. There are a couple of rare ones that you cant but your doctor would enjoy been sure to notify you if prescribed them. They do make you become drunk quicker so i muse thats where family get mixed up. Also, if you are poorly drinking can make you surface worse but i dont think it interferes next to the pills. Have a couple but dont overdo it, you'll be fine with amoxicillin. Lifes too short eh?

I would not do it if I were you. Bacteria love sugar and they love alcohol. this help them to grow. it would be counterproductive to the antibiotics and therfore they would not be as effective
