Try googling "codex alimentarius", it will give you links to lots of websites discussion about the groups down the legislation, facts about the legislation and groups that are trying to stop it. It is a ploy by the pharmaceutical companies to produce us even MORE medicated!
Yeah. That bill was already voted on years ago, setting the unwavering policy with good opinion to herbs. The result is that almost adjectives herbs enjoy a generally regard as safe (GRAS) sticky label and are mostly unregulated. A handful have a range of different classifications because they are, ummm, not safe (examples....senna and ephedra). However, this with the sole purpose covers herbs sold surrounded by this country before the date of the legislation. If you want to put up for sale an herb that was not sold within this country until after the law be passes, next you need to pony up some research that shows what you are selling is secure and apply for an exemption from the FDA. They won't go after you if you don't but they WILL throw you surrounded by jail if you debris to do this and then someone get hurt by what you sell.
This is silly since most herb are safe. If they do this next they better outlaw all the prescription drugs as capably. Niacin is natural but i don't rob it and some other herbs as well-some drug i am allergic to i don't take. What have happened to adjectives sense? I think that some Pharmacies want to charge lots of money for those herb and that is the problem. A couple of hundred of years ago adjectives they had be herbs and alcohol and adjectives sense. Now money is all that matter.
