Which is the BEST allergy prescription CLARITIN or BENDRAYL??
I've tried everything possible for a cold Vicks Dayquil, Mucinex, Tylenol Cold, Airborn, regular Vicks, and herbal teas. NOthing WOrked!!!!! =( So im guessing maybe its allergies since i enjoy a Runny nose, Sneezing too much!, runny itchy eyes, and a bit of a sore throat.

Both are good antihistamines (anti-itching, sneezing, etc) medication. Diphenhydramine, the active ingredient surrounded by Benadryl is also a sleep aid in some over the counter medication. Not everyone gets sleepy beside it, but most people do. So if you are looking for a non-drowsy antihisthamine, after claritin is better. You will need to bear it daily, however, surrounded by order for it to be most potent.
If you get break-through allergy symptoms, it's okay to run the benadryl at night, earlier bed, to help you avoid the morning congestion. It's okay to clutch both drugs together, as they act on different pathway . Just avoid alcohol if you are taking the benadryl, as the depression effects on alertness can be dangerous between the two.
A trip to the allergist could be surrounded by order to identify what you are specifically allergic to, and how to ameliorate the effects of those allergens (like removing barb pillows, old mattresses, etc.)
The best i own ever used and i have really unpromising allergys is claritan 24 hour that works good and i do not bring back sleepy and all.
Allergies within the winter? What kind of allergies? Food allergies? Why are you not seeing a physican to achieve a diagnosis, and a RX ?
Claritin would be better to try since Benadryl makes you sleepy. You may not see any results for a few days but hold taking it UNLESS, you have any side effects. In which satchel, stop taking it and talk to your doctor.
i find that benadryl works devout to stop an attack once it has already started, but make you really really tired. i wouldn't myself be able to transport it daily and still function. claritin is devout for taking everyday to prevent symptoms. if i already have symptoms or an attack going, claritin will not really stop it on the spot. the itchy runny eyes can be helped near visine allergy. works good to stop an attack..
Benadryl is a sleeping pill within disguise. DO NOT TAKE IT, especially if you have anything planned within the next six hours. Claritin D or Claritin 24 hour or anything it is works well, but you own to be consistent in taking it and other start taking it a few weeks before allergy season starts.
Claritin is better.
