I find that Lavender helps. I put a few lavender grease drops on my pillow or on a handkerchief. I find the smell really relaxing and am soon asleep.

I also love nil more than a lovely fresh clean bed to climb into. Sometimes you can seize linen sprays that smell good too.

I also agree next to the other answers of warm milk and a hip bath close to bed time.

Try and avoid watching tv right before bed as it stimulates the mind too much. And don't drink caffeinated drinks after 4pm respectively day.
